Prompts
- SNOW BLIND - It's snowing, a lot, and pristine landscape though it might create, it also brings plenty of problems, especially when you live in an Edwardian-style village with a serious lack of snow shovels. It's currently blizzard conditions and visibility is nil — Maybe you gave in and ducked into the nearest house for temporary shelter, and discover someone else had the same idea (or just lives there, oops). Maybe you're stubborn enough to still be out in it, struggling against the wind and snow. Or maybe you've tromped into the South Village Inn like a human popsicle, and are just hoping you don't lose any fingers before you make it to the fireplace.
- JUMPED-UP - Winter's here, which means it's the perfect time for an expedition to warmer, southern climes. You've joined a group following the river all the way down to the far southern beach, for fun and for science. On this latest break in your journey, you've spotted a large, jewel-colored feather and picked it up, maybe as a specimen to bring back or just a feather for your cap. Turns out it's an archaeopteryx feather, and you're now, well... let's call it a little gravity-challenged. Not a bad benefit once you figure out how to control it.
- COLD CALL - The snow has slacked off, leaving behind a winter wonderland. Sure, there's plenty to do, but after being cooped up inside for days, most people won't blame you for a morale-booster — That is, unless your way of starting a snowball fight is to pop up and throw them at unsuspecting passers-by. Making a snow man or snow angels might come with a little less retribution, but you do you.
- WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

Daniel Sousa | Agent Carter (Marvel) | Snow Blind
He couldn't go inside in Europe. Even if he could have found a building that wasn't bombed, it wouldn't be safe. It'd probably already be occupied, too. So that meant he was almost always bone-deep cold, bone-deep tired, and bone-deep hungry. It had left him with a permanent dislike of heavy snow and cold, even before he'd gotten hit. Crutches in the snow were not a cakewalk.
When he finally made it to the South Village Inn, he headed straight for the giant fireplace. There was someone else in front of it already, but it was a big fireplace. They could share.
Leia Organa | Star Wars
She was sipping her hot chocolate and staring into the fire when she heard someone approach. Looking up, she studied the man'a face. She didn't recognize him but that wasn't unusual. There were many people here that she hadn't become acquainted with yet. "Hello," she said wth a smile.

"I wasn't really expecting the snow to come up that fast."

"Nice to meet you, Miss Organa. I'm Daniel Sousa."

The fire was warming his bones and he was starting to not feel the cold ache of his missing right toes.

Hoth had been abandoned when they'd found it and they'd done the best they could with it. Leia was surprised that they lasted nearly three years before anyone found them.
no subject
"Daniel?" is her surprised remark, the blanket covering most of her up, including her mouth, which muffles his name. Pushing it down and struggling to dig out, her eyes widen. "You look freezing, how long were you out there?"
no subject
He was not gonna laugh at the sight of Peggy buried in a blanket, buried so much so that he didn't even realize it was her until she poked her head out and talked to him. For one thing, he liked his blood on the inside. For another, she looked kind of pitiful and he was sympathetic to that. There'd been a real bad something going around lately.
"I'm not sure," he admitted. "I was walking around, just getting the lay of things, and then the storm blew in. Should have known that grey steel look to the clouds. I saw it often enough in the ETO."
no subject
"Well, get in here and warm up," she coaxes, opening the blanket. "There's plenty of room." And there is, without anyone needing to be improper or forward. The couch and blanket will certainly hold two people, without having to curl up. "Do you want a hand?"
no subject
"You feeling any better?"
no subject
"And you," she points out. "What were you doing out there without any backup?" she insists. "It's not safe, especially if you're going to be unsteady."
no subject
"When I started walking, there wasn't a storm," he repeated.
no subject
She still can't believe that she's seeing him here, even as awkward as it occasionally is to think about being in the village with both Steve and Daniel, even though there's closure in the latter, at least. "What were you out there for? Before the storm," she clarifies.
no subject
"Recon. I'm still trying to get the lay of things here, y'know?"
no subject
"And so far?" she prods. She's been there for two years, she's sure she could answer some questions. "What have you found?"
no subject
Weird was sort of the SSR's department, but he thought this place was weird even by SSR standards.
no subject
She's smiling at him as she says it, because strange as all this is, having the familiar face of a friend would have been terribly good to see. "Have you met some of the others from the future yet?"
no subject
"Not yet. Is it weird to you that we're simultaneously in the past and the future, kind of?"
no subject
"Once you meet Tony, that's the strangest of all," she shares. "He looks and acts so much like his father, which is a touchy subject, from what I've gathered."

Granted, Peggy Carter knew Daniel much better than he did, but still- no point in being rude.
"Oh, you look rather chilled. Come on, have a seat. There's plenty of room for the two of us." And Jarvis was inclined to let him have the majority of the space; he'd already had some time in front of the warmth, after all.
no subject
That was no reason to be rude, though, and he carefully sat down on the sofa directly in front of the warmest part of the fire.
"I wasn't expecting to be caught in a blizzard."
no subject
"And as for that, I don't believe anyone expects to be caught in a blizzard. At least, no one that I've met has claimed that." He offers a wry sort of smile, hoping to perhaps break the ice a bit. "Would you like something to drink?"
He might not be currently acting as anyone's butler, but there are some things that never change.
no subject
He rubbed his hands together to loosen and warm them up. Holding onto a crutch handle in this weather meant stiff fingers.
"I'll probably go see if they've got any joe in a bit."
