Prompts
- STAYING POWER - Go down to the bunker, they said. You can get yourself amazing powers from the vending machine, they said. Well, you've done that, and you've made your choice, but one thing nobody told you was that unless it's a power you're familiar with, you might be on a teensy bit of a learning curve when it comes to keeping it under control. You have a week to figure it out without killing anyone; have fun!
- FORGIVE AND... - You poor thing, you've gotten into some dust moths. Not that you can remember that, because depending on how big that swarm was and how quickly you got out of it, you might not remember much at all. Better hope somebody's got some Forget Me Nots on hand.
- HIT & RUN - Life in the village can be pretty sleepy... until suddenly, it's not. Were you being a troublemaker? Were you disturbing the local wildlife? Because it's now disturbing you, chasing you down the street in front of everyone. Maybe it's a herd of chupapaca or a swarm of fireflies. Or maybe you went old school and it's just a really pissed off badger. Godspeed and good luck.
- WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.
Texts
All characters are fitted with a smart watch-like device on their left wrist, which they can use to send text messages to other villagers.
- Texts may only be 140 characters long
- No video or voice, text only
- Display names may be changed by characters on the fly, but anyone can tap to see someone's real full name
Please list your CHARACTER NAME, CANON & PROMPT in your SUBJECT LINE.
Loki | Marvel 616
Have you been hit by dust moths recently? And cured or not, had no clue as to where and how it happened?
Well now.
See: Loki of Asgard. Trickster god and professional troublemaker; occasional rake, frequent rascal, continuous cause in the chain of cause-and-effect. See him run, wide-eyed, but definitely not panicking, thankyouverymuch, right down the main drag, the dust moths fluttering in his wake not at all obscured by the dust kicked up by his passage.
If asked, he would say that none of this is his fault. It would be a lie, of course, but he would still insist. Maybe he has no idea what he did; there is a faint dusting clinging to the ends of his hair. Maybe he really thinks that it actually isn't his fault; there is, after all, a first time for everything.
This isn't the first time he's grabbed the hand of a bystander and shouted "RUN!!" but it happens so seldom that it almost might as well be.
Text UN: Loki of Asgard
Hey who wants to go on an adventure of taste with me?? :))))
Hit & Run Combo
Her eyebrows went up and she saw the creepy as all creatures apparently following him. Andraste's tits, what were they? Terrifying to an extent, even if she'd gone up against dragons. So she let him grab her hand and ran along. Trouble was back on her doorstep. Typical. She was fast though, especially when running away from things. "What are they?" she managed to say to him through her deep running breathing.

"Normally, I am a mage, and a very good one at that," he says. "This place seems to have sucked it right out of me, somehow. Hel, for all I know, those moths are responsible for it."
It is, after all, as good an explanation as any, and better than some hypotheses he's had.
"Alas, at the moment, even the simplest cantrip is beyond me, and thus: fleeing from literal insects."
sorry wrong comment lol <3
She's used to running for her life so this is like old times. "It's not the insects, otherwise I'd hear everyone complaining about them. However we're here, it was done at the time. I heard some rumors about something called clones, never heard of it before, but that's one of the ongoing theories." Hawke saw demons mimicking humans, but not duplicating humans.
Lol no worries :3
"I doubt we're clones," he says, shaking his head.
but also come to us just saying ;)
"Follow me." She'd been here long enough to get a sense of the place. She might be doing fine so far, but sooner or later she was going to need to breathe. "I don't know, can't think of any theories myself." Hawke's running with specific tunnel vision now, and she doesn't really warn him. She's led them right to one of the deeper parts of the river and jumped in without a moment's hesitation. Clothes can dry. Crazy insects probably can't.
ngl wynonna's player is seriously enabling me rn it's all her fault
He's not terribly buoyant, but he's not a bad swimmer at all.
saw the hold yay sorry late response
"Adding those buggers to a list of animals to avoid and wish death upon around here." She'd really only met a few, and none of them as strangely menacing as the moths. Since they were following them everywhere. "I'm Hawke. Nice to flee for our lives meet you."
:3c no worries
"Loki of Asgard," he says. "I'm not sure we were fleeing for our lives, per se, but definitely fleeing for our somethings."

But I know my mythology well enough to not accept candy from gods of chaos. More than once, anyway, and I've been to two Burning Mans, so someone beat you to that one.

I tend to assume the whatever's weirder is probably the true thing. Saves me a lot of time both here and at home.

combo!
Questions can be asked while running, though. Tommy's entirely capable of multitasking.
"What are we running from?!" is shouted over his shoulder as his feet get to moving - much slower than he'd like, but moving nonetheless.

It's even mostly the truth. (He wasn't minding his own business. He never minds his own business, that would be boring.)

"How d'ya know the moths are evil? I'm guessing they did something more than chew a hole in your sweater, right?"
Hit & running
He also knows enough to look at what they're running from before they get anywhere with too many obstacles. "Oh shit-" he mutters once he registers the moths. Nope nope there is way too much new, fresh information in his head that he refuses to give up because some nocturnal insect decides he's a threat. Within a few moments, he's the one pulling Loki along in a sudden change of direction towards the door of an empty house.

"That looks like a good idea," he comments, voicing the thought aloud, since even under normal circumstances telepathy isn't exactly his strong point. Oh, he can manage if he has to, or wants to, but it takes a spell, unlike his more normal and natural abilities.
