Prompts
- SNOW BLIND - It's snowing, a lot, and pristine landscape though it might create, it also brings plenty of problems, especially when you live in an Edwardian-style village with a serious lack of snow shovels. It's currently blizzard conditions and visibility is nil — Maybe you gave in and ducked into the nearest house for temporary shelter, and discover someone else had the same idea (or just lives there, oops). Maybe you're stubborn enough to still be out in it, struggling against the wind and snow. Or maybe you've tromped into the South Village Inn like a human popsicle, and are just hoping you don't lose any fingers before you make it to the fireplace.
- JUMPED-UP - Winter's here, which means it's the perfect time for an expedition to warmer, southern climes. You've joined a group following the river all the way down to the far southern beach, for fun and for science. On this latest break in your journey, you've spotted a large, jewel-colored feather and picked it up, maybe as a specimen to bring back or just a feather for your cap. Turns out it's an archaeopteryx feather, and you're now, well... let's call it a little gravity-challenged. Not a bad benefit once you figure out how to control it.
- COLD CALL - The snow has slacked off, leaving behind a winter wonderland. Sure, there's plenty to do, but after being cooped up inside for days, most people won't blame you for a morale-booster — That is, unless your way of starting a snowball fight is to pop up and throw them at unsuspecting passers-by. Making a snow man or snow angels might come with a little less retribution, but you do you.
- WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

Go figure. I learned for physical therapy for my bad arm and just never stopped.
[ He sips his coffee again, feeling like he might be getting used to this catching-Frank-up thing. Since it feels like this is his friend already. But he's now looking at the croc-dog in Frank's arms curiously -- he won't ask what the thing is, because it's obviously a pet and that's rude, Raleigh has manners. All the animals here he's seen so far are sort of... odd. This little guy is no exception. But he likes dogs. Wonders if this Frank had a Max, if he misses him. ]
Who's this?
[ That's better. ]

Makes sense.
[ little things like this? filling space with unnecessary words? he wasn't doing it even a month ago. frank is getting back to some semblance of himself, little by little. when raleigh asks about the animal though, he lifts him up higher so the other man can get a good look. ]
Bruno. As in "Mars." [ not like he expects raleigh to get the reference, so few people got any of his references he does it just for himself (and kamala) these days. ] He's friendly.
[ like ridiculously so. nothing like the actual chihuahua frank treats him as. ]

[ Raleigh offers the little creature a hand to sniff before he tries to pet it, trying not to look intimidated by all the teeth or think too hard about where an animal like this was created. It strikes of engineering, like the Kaiju. When it nuzzles against his hand he's endeared, though, and strokes his hand warmly down its back. ]
I like the little coat, it's smart -- no fur, in this weather.

Yeah, he's not a big fan of the Wintertime.
[ you can probably guess why... frank shrugs. ]
I've got a sewing machine at my place too, if you want me to do something with those.
[ gesturing to the scrubs raleigh is wearing under his coat. he almost says 'or we can trade for a color if you don't like that one' but AGAIN it's too much. at least he's learned to edit himself some. ]

[ These species definitely should not be possible to mix, but. Somehow they did. And now that he's up close and petting Bruno the little guy's sort of cute in a weird way. ]
Yeah? They fit me alright, I guess, they're just not very warm. I should've put the overalls on top of them or something but it sounds like soon I'll be making sweaters.

[ frank tries not to take him out for very long, especially not to places that don't have electricity. aka it's as much his child as his normal dogs, maybe more because he can actually fit in his arms. ]
There's some warmer stuff upstairs if you wanna take a look. Anything in the closet's free to take. And come by my house later, I'll hook you up with needles and yarn, gotta see what colors I have left.
