Test Drive

1. It has to take place in the 6I universe.
2. It cannot be the character's arrival into the game.
3. Please only test new characters who do not have a version in the game. Our cast list is here.

Prompts

1. SNOW BLIND - It's snowing, a lot, and pristine landscape though it might create, it also brings plenty of problems, especially when you live in an Edwardian-style village with a serious lack of snow shovels. It's currently blizzard conditions and visibility is nil — Maybe you gave in and ducked into the nearest house for temporary shelter, and discover someone else had the same idea (or just lives there, oops). Maybe you're stubborn enough to still be out in it, struggling against the wind and snow. Or maybe you've tromped into the South Village Inn like a human popsicle, and are just hoping you don't lose any fingers before you make it to the fireplace.


2. JUMPED-UP - Winter's here, which means it's the perfect time for an expedition to warmer, southern climes. You've joined a group following the river all the way down to the far southern beach, for fun and for science. On this latest break in your journey, you've spotted a large, jewel-colored feather and picked it up, maybe as a specimen to bring back or just a feather for your cap. Turns out it's an archaeopteryx feather, and you're now, well... let's call it a little gravity-challenged. Not a bad benefit once you figure out how to control it.


3. COLD CALL - The snow has slacked off, leaving behind a winter wonderland. Sure, there's plenty to do, but after being cooped up inside for days, most people won't blame you for a morale-booster — That is, unless your way of starting a snowball fight is to pop up and throw them at unsuspecting passers-by. Making a snow man or snow angels might come with a little less retribution, but you do you.


4. WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

All characters are fitted with a smart watch-like device on their left wrist, which they can use to send text and video messages to other villagers.

[ there are many reasons one could find themselves in space against their will where miller is from. but he's just going to take a stab in the dark here and make some assumptions. raleigh will correct him if he's wrong anyway, but he's got a theory already because of course he does. ]

A place like this?

If by 'like this' you mean it seems like a kidnapping but everyone's from different worlds and the kidnappers never show themselves? Yeah, exactly like this.

Crazy shot in the dark but you ever hear of a space station name of Reverie Terminal?

That's a hit on the crazy shot. That's the last place I remember, before here.

[ And if it's not just him... ]

Have you seen a woman here, 5'7", Japanese, short black hair with bangs and blue tips? Her name's Mako, she was with us on the station too.

[pampa]

Same here. Did you know Elektra? She remembers it too.

[ he pictures the woman raleigh describes in turn and thinks she sounds familiar. like maybe he saw her and a sandy-haired man with meathead a time or two. and didn't she post a video...? yeah, she found some type of tool, he remembers that. and he'd know if he saw her, he thinks. she's distinctive enough. ]

Haven't seen her, but new people are showing up all the time in the bunker.

[ an offer to help him look for his girlfriend, how sweet is that? ]

I didn't, but if there are three of us that means there could be more. It's something. I don't even care about the how this time.

[ They'd never figured that out on the station after all, it had just become their new life. He can do it again. ]

I woke up in the fountain, haven't been to the bunker yet. Any clues?

The bunker feeds into the fountain. Hard to explain, easier if I just show you.

There are "clues" there too but some things are a little too convenient if you catch my drift.

If you're up for playing tour guide, I'll meet you. And I think I know what you mean. It's not stuff we have to uncover, right? Not like the station.

I wasn't here when they found the place, but everything's just laying around down there like they wanted us to find it. Reverie wasn't so different in that respect.

Well it was behind locked doors and shut down consoles, that's a little more hidden. Kind of.

I'll have to take a look.

True. But the clues on our devices? Someone wanted us to work on that place. I suspect it's the same here.

[ if not the same place altogether. or at least the same group behind it. ]

Do you think there's more that's the same? Like they could have transported us here for part two of whatever the hell they were doing?

Sure. I'll head there now.

I think it's something we should consider. Especially since I shouldn't be able to survive on a planet's surface. Not comfortably anyway.
