Prompts
- SNOW BLIND - It's snowing, a lot, and pristine landscape though it might create, it also brings plenty of problems, especially when you live in an Edwardian-style village with a serious lack of snow shovels. It's currently blizzard conditions and visibility is nil — Maybe you gave in and ducked into the nearest house for temporary shelter, and discover someone else had the same idea (or just lives there, oops). Maybe you're stubborn enough to still be out in it, struggling against the wind and snow. Or maybe you've tromped into the South Village Inn like a human popsicle, and are just hoping you don't lose any fingers before you make it to the fireplace.
- JUMPED-UP - Winter's here, which means it's the perfect time for an expedition to warmer, southern climes. You've joined a group following the river all the way down to the far southern beach, for fun and for science. On this latest break in your journey, you've spotted a large, jewel-colored feather and picked it up, maybe as a specimen to bring back or just a feather for your cap. Turns out it's an archaeopteryx feather, and you're now, well... let's call it a little gravity-challenged. Not a bad benefit once you figure out how to control it.
- COLD CALL - The snow has slacked off, leaving behind a winter wonderland. Sure, there's plenty to do, but after being cooped up inside for days, most people won't blame you for a morale-booster — That is, unless your way of starting a snowball fight is to pop up and throw them at unsuspecting passers-by. Making a snow man or snow angels might come with a little less retribution, but you do you.
- WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

Or perhaps not, now that it seems she has the swing of things.
Up she drifts like a paper lantern, just as warm and twice as lovely, Zevran's eyes flitting from her face to her hands to the space beneath her feet. A little like an apple bobbing in water, a little like a leaf drifting on a currant. Nothing at all like a bird's flight. "Have you tried swooping? I feel as though that is something you ought to attempt."
no subject
Although she's perfectly content to see how far she can get by bouncing. Just rocking onto the balls of her feet, popping lightly into the air and drifting before landing again. And she manages it again, grinning faintly to herself as she attempts to put a spin on it this time.
It's a strange, light-hearted feeling she'd almost forgotten, up to this point. There's such a simple delight in it. No one's life at stake. Just this odd brand of magic that isn't her own, tossing her to the winds on a whim.
"You should try it, if you're so keen on swooping."

He can understand the discomfit Oghren experienced.
"One of us must keep our boots firmly planted on the ground." Though- "It...does look like fun. How are you able to control it? By focusing? Is it much like magic back home?"
It's the only reason he's assuming she's comfortable with this, being some manner of a Dalish Mage.

Probably not the most enticing description of the effects of the feather, but for what it's worth? She does look like she's enjoying herself.
"I wish I had something to write this down with. Do you suppose all the feathers do this? What would happen if you collected a great deal of them?"
no subject
Not familiar with the Fade himself he remains reluctant but- he is...terribly curious.
"I have touched quite a few feathers in making arrows, but I've not been made to fly. It must be the kind in particular that you have touched- and if you had a great many? I suppose you would launch yourself into the sun." He shouldn't. It's foolishness. It's-
Not terribly dangerous, he thinks. Remain calm. "...May I touch your feather?"
no subject
"It's alright. I'll be right here to help, if you need me to."
That's what she does, that's all she's ever wanted to do. That she'd offered it now seems as natural as can be.

With but a moment's hesitation he reaches up to brush his fingers along the feather- as soon as he makes contact? That same buoyed sense of weightlessness takes him and he begins drifting up, bobbling in the wind. "Maker's breath!"
