3. Please only test new characters who do not have a version in the game. Our cast list is here.

Prompts

SNOW BLIND - It's snowing, a lot, and pristine landscape though it might create, it also brings plenty of problems, especially when you live in an Edwardian-style village with a serious lack of snow shovels. It's currently blizzard conditions and visibility is nil — Maybe you gave in and ducked into the nearest house for temporary shelter, and discover someone else had the same idea (or just lives there, oops). Maybe you're stubborn enough to still be out in it, struggling against the wind and snow. Or maybe you've tromped into the South Village Inn like a human popsicle, and are just hoping you don't lose any fingers before you make it to the fireplace.

JUMPED-UP - Winter's here, which means it's the perfect time for an expedition to warmer, southern climes. You've joined a group following the river all the way down to the far southern beach, for fun and for science. On this latest break in your journey, you've spotted a large, jewel-colored feather and picked it up, maybe as a specimen to bring back or just a feather for your cap. Turns out it's an archaeopteryx feather, and you're now, well... let's call it a little gravity-challenged. Not a bad benefit once you figure out how to control it.

COLD CALL - The snow has slacked off, leaving behind a winter wonderland. Sure, there's plenty to do, but after being cooped up inside for days, most people won't blame you for a morale-booster — That is, unless your way of starting a snowball fight is to pop up and throw them at unsuspecting passers-by. Making a snow man or snow angels might come with a little less retribution, but you do you.

WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

[Listen, Billy's no stranger to weird stuff happening. They come from a world where alien invasions are basically a weekly event, when everyone in Manhattan isn't turning into a spider. You know how these things go. And this place has its own share of weird things. So the wierd sudden appearance of an upside-down girl? Not the thing Billy is freaking out about. Not the reason he does a literal double-take, eyes growing huge. Not the reason his voice cracks when he answers her.]

Kate?????? When did you get here?!

[Obviously he's not just gonna let her hang there, Billy's gonna jump up and grab for her hand, see if he can tug her back down to Earth. What else are bffs for, honestly.]

Billy—?!

[ IF YOU AIN'T A SIGHT FOR SORE EYES... ]

I thought I recognized that stylish coif...

[ she grabs on tight to his hand, but all he really manages to do is use his weight to sort of just... anchor her. like a balloon. ]

Oh my God, don't even right now.

[The hand that isn't tethering Kate to the ground lifts to Billy's hair, trying to cover it. Without the usual product and liberal application of pomade, his waves are a little out of control, more a mop than his usual styled swoop.]

You owe me so many answers as soon as we get you right side up. You're gonna pass out like that. Here, what if I try to spin you? Like, can you push against my hand and try and flip over?

[ and yet? you're still killing it, billy. How Do You Do It? ]

Oh, I can get right-side up just fine.

[ her """mentor""" is a circus performer, after all. she's been in more uncomfortable situations than this. but, just to ease his cute little mind, she readjusts her hold on his hand and uses it as leverage to carefully right herself back up, as if she were merely just rappelling down the side of a building or something. ]

It's the getting down and staying down part I'm more concerned about. Here's a pro-tip for you, Billy: don't pick up strangely colored feathers. Oh, sure, they're pretty and all, but that's just how they get you.

Then why are you floating around upside-down?

[It does make him feel better once she rights herself, honestly; that much hanging around upside-down can't be good for your health. Although the fact that she's still bobbing around not quite touching the ground is definitely a concern. He's frowning at the gap between her feet and the ground, trying to figure out if she looks like she's a little closer to the ground, when she starts talking again and gives him at least half an answer.]

Ooooh. Okay. Well, this is sort of a good-news-bad-news situation, Katie-Kate, which one do you want first?

Good news! It's not gonna last forever. Maybe three or four hours from whenever you picked up that feather, there's an oil on them that basically lets you pull an Elphaba and defy gravity.

Bad news: when it wears off, it's gonna happen fast, and your face probably isn't gonna like it if it's the first part hitting the ground.
