Test Drive

3. Please only test new characters who do not have a version in the game. Our cast list is here.

Prompts

1. STAYING POWER - Go down to the bunker, they said. You can get yourself amazing powers from the vending machine, they said. Well, you've done that, and you've made your choice, but one thing nobody told you was that unless it's a power you're familiar with, you might be on a teensy bit of a learning curve when it comes to keeping it under control. You have a week to figure it out without killing anyone; have fun!


2. FORGIVE AND... - You poor thing, you've gotten into some dust moths. Not that you can remember that, because depending on how big that swarm was and how quickly you got out of it, you might not remember much at all. Better hope somebody's got some Forget Me Nots on hand.


3. HIT & RUN - Life in the village can be pretty sleepy... until suddenly, it's not. Were you being a troublemaker? Were you disturbing the local wildlife? Because it's now disturbing you, chasing you down the street in front of everyone. Maybe it's a herd of chupapaca or a swarm of fireflies. Or maybe you went old school and it's just a really pissed off badger. Godspeed and good luck.


4. WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

Hardly, it is a way of life. I was surprised you were telling me to do what is natural to me.

Ah. Yes, well, I will be the first to tell anyone to simply be themselves.

How thoughtful and supportive of you, truly you are someone of character. Perhaps you are capable of opening your heart and hearth to an elf in need?

It isn't my hearth, but its owner is prone to charity, it's true. Alas, we're full up.

Well I've all my fingers and good teeth, skills enough to keep a home tidy, and know enough to take letters should they be dictated to me. I am also a capable cook, Ser, I could earn my keep.

You aren't on the block. You need not earn a place by the fire. Besides, we're all useful in some respect. We have to be. You see, this is something akin to a remote village in the swamp. Thoroughly cut off, self-reliant, fiendishly cold because our captors revel in a challenge or some such.

Head to the inn, it's rather difficult to miss, and I'll meet you there. I'm sure my housemates and I can see something's done about lodging.

[ He's painting it on a little thick, but- all in good fun? Or at least it's as solid a means to get a gauge on what manner of man is this. In the scrubs he was given and the coat he has found making himself look small and harmless is easy enough. Adjusting the fall of his hair to conceal his tattoo? Ah, that takes a moment.

But he arrives at the Inn as instructed, hands tucked in his pockets, shoulders hunched in, back to the wall, eyes wide and eartips twitching. ]

[and that is the last Dorian chooses to send Zevran, and instead heading the short distance to the inn, clad in leather pants, boots, and a warmer shirt he was so graciously provided. Zevran isn't difficult to pick out, looking wet for one, and being elven secondly.

Dorian isn't difficult to pick out of a crowd either, of course, considering he tends to shine no matter where he is.]

You must be the elven newcomer.

Making himself, as he said, appear small, appear helpless- these things come instinctively as he turns wide, golden eyes on Dorian, a shiver wracking his frame as he approaches.

And you are a great deal more handsome in person than I imagined, if I may be so bold to say.
