Prompts
- STAYING POWER - Go down to the bunker, they said. You can get yourself amazing powers from the vending machine, they said. Well, you've done that, and you've made your choice, but one thing nobody told you was that unless it's a power you're familiar with, you might be on a teensy bit of a learning curve when it comes to keeping it under control. You have a week to figure it out without killing anyone; have fun!
- FORGIVE AND... - You poor thing, you've gotten into some dust moths. Not that you can remember that, because depending on how big that swarm was and how quickly you got out of it, you might not remember much at all. Better hope somebody's got some Forget Me Nots on hand.
- HIT & RUN - Life in the village can be pretty sleepy... until suddenly, it's not. Were you being a troublemaker? Were you disturbing the local wildlife? Because it's now disturbing you, chasing you down the street in front of everyone. Maybe it's a herd of chupapaca or a swarm of fireflies. Or maybe you went old school and it's just a really pissed off badger. Godspeed and good luck.
- WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.
Texts
All characters are fitted with a smart watch-like device on their left wrist, which they can use to send text messages to other villagers.
- Texts may only be 140 characters long
- No video or voice, text only
- Display names may be changed by characters on the fly, but anyone can tap to see someone's real full name
Please list your CHARACTER NAME, CANON & PROMPT in your SUBJECT LINE.

Her arms are crossed when Bruce approaches, wrapped around her torso as she scans the space around them, eyes peeled for anything else lurking. It's easier to be vigilant than to look at him, to deal with...well, everything else. After he'd left, she'd put all those thoughts, all those feelings in a box, left them inside a mental storage room with the rest of the things that might otherwise be regrets. She hadn't planned to pull them back out, not any time soon. And yet, here they are. Here he is, and she can't not look up at him, a very small smile barely curving the corner of her mouth.
"Yeah, you're probably right. I wouldn't know. Whatever Clint's said, I'm not really a farm kinda girl. This place is--an adjustment." The polite way to put it. "You've been doing a lot of research on the wildlife here?"

He sets a really low bar of expectations in his life. It's kept him sane so far.
"Not ... exactly. I'm dabbling. There are people here who study flora and fauna, they've been more actively taking notes, sharing notes. It would be a great group study if we weren't, you know, stuck here in a permanent possible disaster." His sense of humor was understated and usually sailed right by most people, but she wasn't most people. He wrings his hands together, the only outward sign of his nerves, but he looks right at her.
"We're doing a Stark Expo," he says with a half smilie, rolling his eyes. "I know it sounds ridiculous, out here, but it's mostly so everyone will maybe come to one place. Share their knowledge, share their skills. Survive." Bruce cautiously steps closer to her. Not in her personal space, not even in the same sphere as that, but the more wary and distant he is, the stranger it feels. "You could learn more about this place there. If you wanted."

And yet, here she is, and here he is, and she's having to remind herself again of all of that. No expectations, just take each day and each new introduction or reintroduction as it comes. It's still easier with him than it is with most. Smiling is easier, and she laughs like it's startled out of her. Maybe she's surprised to be laughing at all. "'It'd be great if we weren't stuck here in a possible disaster' is basically the motto of the last, I don't know, five years, isn't it?" she asks, and there's something a little rueful in her expression as she looks up at him. It wasn't all disasters, but often enough. And speaking of disasters...
"A Stark Expo, are you serious? Let me guess who decided to call it that." She hadn't heard, yet; the last few weeks she's been here have been spent investigating the most likely avenues of information about how and why they're here, less so on the people themselves, aside from the basics. "The idea's not a terrible one, though, Tony's ego aside. Our chances are better if we pool resources." There's a beat as she considers her answer, watching him, as he steps a little closer. "What about you? Are you going?"

It warms him to see her smile, and to hear her laugh is a gift. His return smile is wide and unguarded for a moment, knocking several years off his exhausted face as long as it lasts. "What would we be doing if it wasn't a disaster though? Are vacations the fights that happened in between the really bad fights? I can't really picture us all relaxing on a beach or going to a movie." It's a wistful concept. It would have been nice if those were options, but they were all brought together by disaster. They did have drinks and jokes once, when they were playing the idea of being more than a super group, but it was neatly destroyed by the mad scientists.
Bruce huff-laughs. "It may have been my idea." Calling it the Banner Expo would never happen though. He likes being the silent partner. "I thought maybe we should find a reason to get everyone in one space and talk about communal skills and resources, and discuss what has happened here so far and theorize what could happen next. Tony took it and ran with it, even got people to agree to bring food and come mingle." They played to each other's strengths: Tony as the social butterfly, Bruce as the pragmatic organizer. "It could be another disaster, but there will be no murder bots involved this time. That has to be an attractive sales pitch."
