Happy anniversary, villagers! Buckle up!
- HEAT WAVE - Poor you. All you were trying to do was get yourself a little something to eat from the kitchen at the inn. Maybe you cooked it up yourself (The inn does, after all, have an electric stove — FANCY!), or maybe you just grabbed some leftovers. By accident or on purpose, you ended up with way more RED SALT in there than you maybe should have, and this is no ordinary seasoning. Whether you like things eye-wateringly spicy or not, it's August, you're sweating buckets, and it's only getting worse.
- SKUNK DRUNK - Isn't that just the way? You're out and about, minding your own business, and you get sprayed by a BROWN SKUNK. The good news? It doesn't stink like a normal skunk. The also possibly good news, depending on who you ask? You're now in for about 5 hours of being very, very friendly. (Just remember to keep the test drive PG!)
- BRAIN CANDY - Whether you made it to the anniversary party or not, you've gotten your hands on a piece of leftover candy from the big bash. Careful, though, these treats are more than meets the eye: Whatever COLOR it was, you've now taken on the associated personality traits. (Not the power, just the traits.) At least it only lasts 10 minutes.
- WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.
Texts
All characters are fitted with a smart watch-like device on their left wrist, which they can use to send text messages to other villagers.
- Texts may only be 140 characters long
- No video or voice, text only
- Display names may be changed by characters on the fly, but anyone can tap to see someone's real full name
Please list your CHARACTER NAME, CANON & PROMPT in your SUBJECT LINE.
Heat Wave
Which are thoughts that have crept in and alcohol is sorely needed. So he gives in, all fur coat - stolen, and heavy boots - borrowed from who the fuck knows where, and bright red scrub trousers because he's starting to like the look of them with the dark fur, and heads for the Inn.
Except the bottle of tuber vodka he's pretty sure he left in the kitchen is gone. Well, not gone. The bottle is still there. But now it is fucking empty.
"What the fuck?! Did I say anyone could drink that?" Bellowing to no one in particular. Anger coursing through him, as he swirls around, fur snapping with his motions. Hearing someone bitching about needing water, and it's a voice that sounds way too fucking familiar.
Edging closer to the voice, swallowing hard as he eyes the very familiar form.
"Wynonna Fucking Earp. What the hell did I do to deserve this?" He asks of no one, intoning it loudly so that she's sure to hear him.
no subject
"Do you actually want a list, Bobo? Because I could make a list," she mutters. "I mean there was all the attempted murder. And the actual murder. And Willa. You want me to keep going?" Pause. "After I have that fucking water."
She is, noticeably, not reaching for Peacemaker. Because it isn't fucking there. So maybe it is Hell.
no subject
Not that he believes her, or the lack of Peacemaker resting there.
"Don't you dare fucking bring her into this, Earp," he growls, expression fading quickly. She's been every thought in his head, and everything he's tried to forget since - as far as he knows from the moment he came to this place - she left him there to die.
"Water? What's the ma..." The words fade and then he can't help himself. He laughs. Hard. "Let me... guess..." Still laughing. "Dusted your margarita with a little red salt? Awwww, Kitten. That must suck."
Because he's done it himself, but he's not admitting to that. Instead he gestures to a bucket nearby to catch any rain run off.
"I've heard soaking your head completely under water for about, hmmm, ten minutes can help. Just make sure to stay under until you can't feel the heat anymore."
no subject
"The teenage girl you kept locked away like a fairy tale princess with no other option but to think she loved you? Fuck you Robert."
no subject
Smirking as he took a step closer. Walking up drowning in this place from the moment he did, there's been too much pain about Willa surrounding him to back down from his. Even if her air clutching for Peacemaker doesn't mean she doesn't have it on her. No matter what Vasquez and others have told him.
"If it wasn't for that witch bitch you wouldn't even be here now. Never come back for your sisters or your name unless you had to," he growls, eyes narrowing. "So don't play that card with me, Wynonna. She was loved more with me than she ever was by your father. He abused your momma. He abused Willa and Waverly. You weren't the heir, and you weren't his bastard, so maybe you never noticed, hmmm? Or maybe you just. Didn't. Care."
His chest is so tight he's not even sure how he gets the words out. Because she's right in a way. Someone had been thinking Willa loved him, right until she was willing to leave him there and walk away. It's an Earp thing, he guesses.
they may hate each other but this is So Much Fun for me
"We were kids. Do you know how many nightmares Waverly had after that? Ever wonder how many of them were about you?" Because she's certainly wondered how many times that gunshot and the sound of Daddy's body hitting the dirt has haunted her baby sister's dreams.
"We buried Willa with Daddy. You made sure she was dead long before I ever pulled the trigger."
She's fully aware that she's poking the bear, and her chin is raised defiantly. Try it. Try it.
This is the best. Loving it. Thank you for putting her on the tdm
Of course now he's going to rub that in.
"So had nightmares about you shooting him, Wynonna. I was there for her. As much as I could be, I was there for Wav..."
The words fail because despite the rage, the anger, the pain he's feeling, all of it is eclipsed in that moment. With those words.
His breathing is quick and labored, eyes narrowing as his hands clench at his sides.
"You... you killed her?"
Despite laying there in the snow, waiting for his death after the betrayal of the woman he loved, he never thought that would happen. Not as close as the girls had seemed after Willa's return. Maybe he should have expected it, but the pain of knowing she is truly dead lances through him.
His steps are tightly wound as he moves closer, not caring what she does to him.
"You killed my Willa? You..." His nostrils flare, head tilting back as his hands open and close, clenching, fighting not to grab her by the neck and strangle her with his bare hands.
"You shot her with Peacemaker..." He isn't asking, stating, eyes closing as he fights to not hurt her, shaking as he fights the anger for the reality as his head tilts back, eyes opening, staring up at the sky. "You sent her to Hell, and she'll be waiting there for me."
He has to focus on that. Focus on that to try and not kill her. At least not physically.
"You banished your sister to Hell, Wynonna," he snarls, gaze dropping to look at her, eyes narrowing as his lip curls. "Tell me again about how much you care for your sisters."
i'm so sorry she's like this. but go ahead and bring the violence if desired.
The sweat from the red salt is doing a halfway decent job of camouflaging the tears threatening to fall. She's drunk, in pain, Peacemaker's gone, and if she's here she's not doing what she needs to do for Alice.
"She made her peace. And if there's any comfort in you being here, it's that she's away from you. That makes Hell an upgrade, you cradle-robbing fuck."
never be sorry for this and them. It's great. Though feel free to have her attack him
"Don't even try that, Earp. You really think you're above and beyond Ward? Wyatt? Oh no, let's be honest. Willa may have had the steel spine of your family, but you? You have the rock for a heart that has been handed down from one heir to the next. In that, you really are the rightful heir."
His hands stay at his sides, so tightly clenched so that the curve of his nails draw along his palm. Knowing that Willa is in Hell may mean she'll be there for him, but it also means facing again that she was willing to leave him to die.
"You abandoned Waverly. You shot Ward. You have turned on everyone that has ever relied on you and left to recover in your wake, Wynonna. Willa learned to open her heart, learned about the man that Wyatt betrayed. You're forged from his very soul, aren't you? A heartless, selfish bitch that will pretend they're trying to save others but in the end, you just like abusing people. Just like your father, every inch of you."
He wants nothing more than to literally take her very life, to watch her die at his hands, but for now, without knowing how this place works if he did kill her, Bobo seeks a worse way to hurt her. One that will last longer.
god they're just going to keep goading each other until someone throws the fist punch i love this
"You think she really loved you? That you loved her? That she was anything to you but a tool for your freedom, no matter what it cost her?"
She snorts and steps even closer. "You think any woman- any girl is capable of loving the monster who keeps her locked away from the world? It wasn't love, you prick, it was Stockholm Syndrome. You. Broke. Her. You broke her to make her your willing escape plan and apocolypse all in one."
She gets bold for a semi-public confrontation, and jabs her right index finger into his chest. "Her death is on both of our hands. I'm just willing to admit it."
no subject
"Oh come off it. As if you, of all people, know a damn thing about love," he scoffs, laughing as he rolls his eyes. "It would be cute, like watching a monkey try and figure out a puzzle, except that it means you just keep hurting people. At least I'm honest about being the sadist I am but you? You're sicker than I could ever be, Wynonna Earp, because you pretend you have a soul when you're just as damned as I am."
Snarling the words as he moves in closer, back slightly hunched, head cocked to one side as if examining something and not sure what it actually is.
"I saved her from Wade. I saved her from you doing to her what you've done to Waverly. I, unlike you? Won't speak for her..." Since she left him to die so... well in his world that can still be love. "But I know what I felt for her and what I was willing to give. And eventually? You'll be dead and gone and we'll? We'll be right back there in Purgatory, killing your child. I mean, if you ever breed."
It hurts. All of it. Thinking about Willa in Hell. Thinking about Willa being tortured and tormented and twisted in the same ways that Robert Svane was until he became the man using words to destroy in the same way he often used knives and steel and teeth.
Snorting when she touches him, barely flinching back with the strike of nail against him.
"Bullshit. You're trying to pretend she wanted that, that she cared about you. She saw Wade in you, just like everyone else does. She saw what you were, and she was willing to leave you there to die. Just like me. Like Doc and Waverly and everyone else. You don't care about others, Wynonna, so stop pretending. There's no one here to impress with your fake empathy."
Driving in verbal nails, wanting to make her snap as he stands there, head twitching from one side to the other as his nostrils flare, trying to actually scent the pain and anger on her.

She doesn't process anything else he says. She doesn't hear the if, all she hears is the threat he presents to Alice, even with a world between them. It's that same world keeping her from saving her baby girl from this damned curse.
She's trained more since the last time she faced Bobo, but it barely shows at all by the way she launches herself at him, swinging the bottle she'd stolen from him. Raw, angry, and screaming like the burning in her throat and mouth will summon some of Dolls' fire. If only. If only.
If this isn't okay, let me know
He's been waiting for it, wanting it if he's honest, but what is honesty when there is pain?
The bottle catches up against the side of his face and head and he almost scents the blood before he feels the sharp sting as skin splits from the force. The world spins, dizziness sending his head reeling and stomach turning. Doing the only thing he can as he wraps his arms around her, backing up to jerk her off her feet if he can.
Spinning to toss her, fling her to the ground if she doesn't cling. Not actively hurting her as he could try, taking the damage if she attacks him. Perhaps it's guilt, the pain of thinking about the fact that Willa is in Hell. And maybe it's just because baiting her more just gets him going.
totally fine and ditto
When words come out of her again, it's through gritted teeth.
"Willa would have killed Waverly. Your angel. All because you got a hard-on for your little caged bird. Willa was my sister. She was your pet."
no subject
Nails catch on skin, a boot slamming into his side hard enough to make him regret living for a minute. Thankfully though for the coat found for him the day he arrived to absorb some of the anger as she snarls and spits like the hellcat she is.
"You never fucking cared about Waverly, so don't play this sister card now, Wynonna. It's beneath you," he sneers, panting hard as he fights to keep her at arms length, playing games with words while refusing her the fight he's sure she wants more than anything in that moment.
"I protected them both more than you ever did." Whether he believes that or not, the words are meant to be barbed, to push her a bit further. If he's going to hurt as deeply as he does, he's taking anyone else with him that he can.
"I love her! She is my everything. I spent a hundred years paying for doing the right thing and she is what I've been waiting for." And even as he says it, speaking truths that may not be real but that he believes at the very least, will cling to in this place as tightly as he did the pain of Wyatt's mistreatment for a century.
"This isn't Purgatory, Wynonna. You're nothing here."
no subject
She's not as quick to get to her feet as she could be, though, something's bruised at the very least, and she spits out a mouthful of blood from where her teeth hit the inside of her cheek when she hit the floor.
And all she can do is start laughing. It's really not hard to picture her in the locked wards and "therapeutic group homes" she spent half her teenage years in.
"Say whatever you want about me Bobo" because she's already said it all to herself. She doubts there are any barbs he can dig into her that way that she hasn't tortured herself with and tried to drink or fuck or run away from.
"I shot the man who hurt my sisters. You sat down to deal with him. Which one of us was supposed to be protecting them, again? Because a scared 14-year-old girl did more for Waverly with a misplaced shot than you ever did."
no subject
If only in that maybe if she is here, then she is dead in their world and it means if he dies he can go back to Purgatory with the others and Willa and Waverly and his demented idea of a life.
But if somehow this is some side of Hell, then what happens? Besides, letting Wynonna, of all Earps, win, is just not something he can do.
So he draws a breath and he... laughs. A dark, maniacal sound as if she has said the best stand up routine in the history of the world.
"Please. You fucked up. You murdered your father and then you abandoned everyone that needed you. You knew you were the heir, and that Waverly needed you and you left. If she was capable of being the heir, she deserved it so much more than you ever did."
no subject
"You stole Willa's childhood from her, and unlike me, you knew what you were doing. Insult me all you want, but don't ever try to tell yourself you're better than me in any way," she mutters, and turns her back on him, flipping him off while spitting out more red-salted blood.
no subject
Raising one hand to wave toodles at Wynonna's back before touching his temple. His fingers come back stained with blood, reminding him that he is much more vulnerable here than in Purgatory... and it's only going to get worse with an Earp in the village.
[ooc: I loved this thread and so hope you're bringing Wynonna to game.]
