3. Please only test new characters who do not have a version in the game. Our cast list is here.

Prompts

Happy anniversary, villagers! Buckle up!

1. HEAT WAVE - Poor you. All you were trying to do was get yourself a little something to eat from the kitchen at the inn. Maybe you cooked it up yourself (The inn does, after all, have an electric stove — FANCY!), or maybe you just grabbed some leftovers. By accident or on purpose, you ended up with way more RED SALT in there than you maybe should have, and this is no ordinary seasoning. Whether you like things eye-wateringly spicy or not, it's August, you're sweating buckets, and it's only getting worse.


2. SKUNK DRUNK - Isn't that just the way? You're out and about, minding your own business, and you get sprayed by a BROWN SKUNK. The good news? It doesn't stink like a normal skunk. The also possibly good news, depending on who you ask? You're now in for about 5 hours of being very, very friendly. (Just remember to keep the test drive PG!)


3. BRAIN CANDY - Whether you made it to the anniversary party or not, you've gotten your hands on a piece of leftover candy from the big bash. Careful, though, these treats are more than meets the eye: Whatever COLOR it was, you've now taken on the associated personality traits. (Not the power, just the traits.) At least it only lasts 10 minutes.


4. WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

All characters are fitted with a smart watch-like device on their left wrist, which they can use to send text messages to other villagers.

- Texts may only be 140 characters long
- No video or voice, text only
- Display names may be changed by characters on the fly, but anyone can tap to see someone's real full name

[ Asch took his hand, accepting the help. It might not seem like much to many, but it was to Asch, he didn't often touch people outside of combat.

He had no problem walking in silence. He also didn't bother with complaining. He had wanted to come out this far and a little water in his boots wasn't such a big price to pay to learn what he had learned so far from the seemingly gentle giant.

When he pauses, Asch looked around him blinking a bit.]

I do enjoy apples. [ He spoke as always trying to keep his emotions pushed down but the idea of them brought the faintest smile forward.] I will find it again, it should only be a few months until harvest, right?

[houmaprotector]

Yes.

[He gently moves the branch back.]

When I was a child, my step-father would take me out to the woods and show me things like that. I remember being so angry about the fact that I couldn't have an apple right away.

[He sighs] He told me that patience was essential. Waiting for things would teach me how to be a better man.

I suppose he was right.

[He gestures.] remember where this is. In a few months.

[ He watched how easily Alec moved the tree branch, pretty certain it took a bit of strength not only to do it but to not hurt the tree in the process. It was impressive to say the least. It was also almost odd that he worried what people would think and that they might hurt him.]

Yes, I would agree with your father. Though, I have no such tales, I have always known I had to wait for things. As far back as I recall anyway, born into my old station, you are groomed for things that come much later. All good things come to those that wait.

[ He looked back to the tree a moment. As if memorizing where it was. He would honestly get lost in a few months finding it but it would be a treat to find it again. He moved then to follow after Alec again.]

[houmaprotector]

Your station? [He's calmed down a hair or two and now walks. Spreading his arms wide he drops them down at his sides and smiles.]

Your former station?

[cinere]

[ It was interesting just watching the way the man moved. He walked and moved along with him, his head still held high as he walked proudly.]

yes, my former station, I was born third in line to be king of my home country, and engaged to the princess. Those days are long gone though. [ Yeah, he was engaged to his cousin, but he spoke with a hint of bitterness.]

[houmaprotector]

That is a tough loss. I'm sorry to hear about it.

[He doesn't blink about him being a child. He's seen so many things through all the lives of the other avatars at this point...

Walking in silence for awhile he looks down at him again. They're close to the edge of the forest.]

Do you miss it?

.... [ He wasn't sure what to say then, no one had ever really said sorry or given sympathy. They simply used him as a tool and feed his rage to keep him fighting. He looked up at Alec and gave an awkward shrug. ]

At times, maybe, but that life belongs to someone else now, beside's I died in my world, I remember dying before I woke in the fountain here. That life is long out of my reach, and I have been a solider long enough that I could never sit content to be king.

[houmaprotector]

[It's surprising how much he can...relate to that. They're close to the edge of the woods now and he points.]

...Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

[ Seeing the edge of woods as Alec points, he quietly makes his way, just until he reaches the edge so the sunlight hits him, looking back he offered a half smile then.]

Luckily, I have no crown, and this is a new world. Thank you, Alec, I will see you again I hope. Do remember to call if you need a hand.

[ He'd fight for this guy, he's cool. Asch moved quietly back towards the village after he spoke.]

[houmaprotector]

[Alec raised a hand to him, watching him go back to the village. If more people were like that, he could perhaps go there. Work with them. Perhaps then he'd be able to get home.

He turns, pacing back into the trees.]
