3. Please only test new characters who do not have a version in the game. Our cast list is here.

Prompts

Happy anniversary, villagers! Buckle up!

1. HEAT WAVE - Poor you. All you were trying to do was get yourself a little something to eat from the kitchen at the inn. Maybe you cooked it up yourself (The inn does, after all, have an electric stove — FANCY!), or maybe you just grabbed some leftovers. By accident or on purpose, you ended up with way more RED SALT in there than you maybe should have, and this is no ordinary seasoning. Whether you like things eye-wateringly spicy or not, it's August, you're sweating buckets, and it's only getting worse.


2. SKUNK DRUNK - Isn't that just the way? You're out and about, minding your own business, and you get sprayed by a BROWN SKUNK. The good news? It doesn't stink like a normal skunk. The also possibly good news, depending on who you ask? You're now in for about 5 hours of being very, very friendly. (Just remember to keep the test drive PG!)


3. BRAIN CANDY - Whether you made it to the anniversary party or not, you've gotten your hands on a piece of leftover candy from the big bash. Careful, though, these treats are more than meets the eye: Whatever COLOR it was, you've now taken on the associated personality traits. (Not the power, just the traits.) At least it only lasts 10 minutes.


4. WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

- Display names may be changed by characters on the fly, but anyone can tap to see someone's real full name

[He just shakes his head at the suggestion. Clark isn't falling for that bait!!! He will continue to be infuriatingly earnest.] Truthfully? Yes.

...Anticlimactic, though I guess I've got to hand it to you for being self-aware. [ yeah so he's officially your shadow. dwi ]

[Clark, bless his naive heart, is trying very hard to remember where he saw said animal that produces green milk. It would help if his player bothered to check these things, but this is also realistic so give her a minute!] It's important to be honest with yourself.

See, mate, that we can agree on. Now where are those bloody cow-looking things?

[Rose can't find the official spot the community livestock is supposed to be at so we're going to say he went over to Frank and Kam's to borrow theirs bc of course he has an in with Frank at this point. Neither of them have to carry a conversation. It's a match made it heaven.] I met a man down this way who gave me permission to milk his.

[He gestures with his head towards their house.]

Already making friends, look at that.

[ frank's house is pretty close to the inn so it's a short walk over and john proceeds to lean against the fence and offer no help whatsoever. ]

Not like I'm surprised a bloke who'll bend over backwards to get milk for a pleasant guy like myself can get down with the locals.

[Clark needs to go through the motions of petting and feeding Whitney before he can actually milk her to he can chill for a minute.] He's a good man if you ever want to take the time to get to know him or his daughter.

[Both confirms and defends. Locals sounds a bit dismissive to him.]

[ daughter. john's face screws up, though he can't help casting a glance towards the house. how quaint. and this girl is trapped... like astra. but he can't think about that either. ]

I'm not here to make friends. Got work to do.

[Clark notes that. It actually makes him like John a little bit better. He actually responds to that unsettling fact. Clark hasn't worked out his feelings on the place. He's always been along for the ride so to speak. The sight of a small group of children here has given him pause too.]

What's the job?

Conquering the rising darkness before it swallows my world whole.

[ he lifts his eyebrows, gaze direct and sober as it catches on clark's. it's a compelling reason to want to go home, he thinks. ]

[Clark meets his gaze for an uncomfortable amount of time as he confirms what he sees. John isn't making fun of the country boy. He's dead serious.] I'll be rooting for you.

[At this point he's placated Whitney enough to grab a stool and get to work.] Let me know if there's anything I can do to get you there.

[ oh and clark is... sincere. ugh. that's annoying for a whole new reason. ]

Don't suppose you wanna help me harvest wax for candles. I need to test something out.

[ he's watching clark's shoulders now. oh yeah, he'll do. bees won't even make a dent in his hide. ]

[Clark seems to give that some consideration. It's not for the obvious reasons. He's thinking of how practically and safely make that happen for all the parties involved including the bees. He was never going to say no.] I'll see what I can do.

[He'll just get to milking Whitney. Riveting stuff.]
