Prompts
July is going to be wet and wild, villagers. Keep an eye to the sky and hold onto your hats!
- SAVING FACE - Look at you, trying to save that goat or dog or ZALPACA that's gotten stranded in a particularly nasty storm! You're a regular hero, trudging up that cliffside or swiming across that creek! Unfortunately, the sky didn't get the memo about your heroics, and it's just opened up even more. Finishing this job just got a heck of a lot worse. Good thing someone else just showed up to help both you and your animal pal. You hope. It's possible they're just there to laugh at you.
- PANTS ON FIRE - You know what's great? When the storm breaks, the skies start to clear and everything looks sunny again. You know what's not? When the weather pushes the LYING MIST down from the mountainside while you're out trying to clean up. Hope you don't have any whoppers you're trying to keep secret!
- SINK OR SWIM - The days when it's not storming are just beautiful, and the village river is running high. There are spots out of the current that are perfect for a cool dip or lounging on the shore, but take care you don't go out too far and get swept away. Oh, and watch out for the RAINBOW CRABS, those claws are sharp.
- WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

"I thought we were close." Her voice was very soft. It was true that she never interacted with Vergil the millionaire but she hadn't thought that was really him. The man she worked with every day, that was the real Vergil. She looked down at her hands, uncertainty creeping into her features.
He was doing so much to help the village but more than that, it sounded like he wanted to help. It was ridiculous but it made Kat happy. "Archery suits you." She said after a pause, a very tiny smile threatening to curve her lips. He was changing, even if he didn't realize it.

"We were. Closer than I allow most." A fact he worried about admitting to her, but what harm did it do now? Vergil the millionaire, was another side of the dice of his life, before Dante, he wold have called Kat his only true friend, but he couldn't let her in to close. The door was locked, but it nearly opened for her.
He didn't want to starve, and he didn't want to be hated. Helping the village was honestly the best course he saw. "I wish... I am terrible at it. Without my ablities I am not quite as strong as one might expect of a man of my age. "But I am trying, I must do something to fill the days and keep busy after all. There is no internet here." He tried to sound more selfish.

Her gaze dropped towards his hand and she took a step forward to inspect them more closely. They were scared with blisters and marks that suggested someone not used to manual labor. "You should wrap up your hands." She looked up at him and continued. "It could get infected if you don't."
kat paused, her words balancing on uncertainty. "I could help you." They had once been close and Kat wanted them to be close again. It would never be in the same way but she wanted Vergil to know that he wasn't alone. Even if she couldn't understand his choices, she was trying.

When she stepped forward to inspect his hands, he lifted one up again. Letting her look. It got an almost shamed look for him, his hands being in such shape. "I am told it will be good for the archery, that my hands are to smooth for such work without pain." He explained. Before thinking and nodding. "You would know more than I, about human health. I suppose if you want I wont fight it."
He certainly trusted her more than he trusted her more than strangers.

She wanted to see him get stronger. "I'll find what I need and come fine you." Kat's smile fell away again. "I don't know where you're staying."
She was at the inn for the time being.

"Being human is much more work than I expected." He admitted before looking towards the inn. "I'm staying in the inn, in the 12th room for now. I am planning ti leave soon though. People are still coming and the inn is the best place to start."
no subject
"I'll stop by tonight or tomorrow night. Once I have what I need." She assumed that he'd be there in the evening and didn't want to risk missing him. Plus she had to take the time to see if she could find any plants here that she could use as ointments.

"When has it ever been any trouble?" There was a light teasing hit to the remark as she looked down at her joined hands. "No slapping." She agreed. Kat hadn't known what came over her then. She wasn't naturally violent but she'd been so angry after remembering him, after seeing him, after all the pain she'd been left with. It didn't feel as important now because she had hope for something better. It was the same hope that always let her see things to the end.
"I'll see you soon." Even if she couldn't find what she wanted, she knew that she'd be able to find something among the inn's stores or the hospital supplies. If she's going to be staying here then she'll work in order to repay for whatever supplies she takes.
She turned then, not willing to linger when she felt so unsteady around Vergil, and headed out towards the hospital to start looking for supplies.
