Prompts
July is going to be wet and wild, villagers. Keep an eye to the sky and hold onto your hats!
- SAVING FACE - Look at you, trying to save that goat or dog or ZALPACA that's gotten stranded in a particularly nasty storm! You're a regular hero, trudging up that cliffside or swiming across that creek! Unfortunately, the sky didn't get the memo about your heroics, and it's just opened up even more. Finishing this job just got a heck of a lot worse. Good thing someone else just showed up to help both you and your animal pal. You hope. It's possible they're just there to laugh at you.
- PANTS ON FIRE - You know what's great? When the storm breaks, the skies start to clear and everything looks sunny again. You know what's not? When the weather pushes the LYING MIST down from the mountainside while you're out trying to clean up. Hope you don't have any whoppers you're trying to keep secret!
- SINK OR SWIM - The days when it's not storming are just beautiful, and the village river is running high. There are spots out of the current that are perfect for a cool dip or lounging on the shore, but take care you don't go out too far and get swept away. Oh, and watch out for the RAINBOW CRABS, those claws are sharp.
- WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

Kat || DmC: Devil May Cry
Kat explored the town and then slowly began to find trails and paths that lead into the woods and surrounding area. She had lived her whole life in the city and had never seen anything as beautiful as the lush greenery of this world. Her fingers reached out, trailing along the damp branches and leaves, and she wondered if there was anywhere on Earth as beautiful as this.
The steady echo of the river entices her further north, where the trail she's following opens into a deep pool of water. Trees shade the area creating her own little oasis away from the town.
A rare smile touched the corner of Kat's lips as she stepped to the waters edge. She didn't know how to swim but the water looked shallow enough to touch the bottom. She glanced around and when she was sure that she was alone she stripped down and waded into the water. Kat kept her underwear on, uncertain if anything else that might be lingering in the woods, but enjoy the swirling coolness of the river as it flowed from one side of the pool to the other.
A daggers edge grazed against Kat's foot and a startled scream echoed from her lips. She's faced demons, monsters and other unimaginable horrors but she'd been surprised by a crab...

[She had been for most of the conversation. The inn, it looked like, was full and while she knew Vergil. She isn't sure her old friend will want her hoovering around him. She plans to see him tonight but that's not until later, hopefully by then she can sort out her thoughts and feelings with everything.
