Prompts
July is going to be wet and wild, villagers. Keep an eye to the sky and hold onto your hats!
- SAVING FACE - Look at you, trying to save that goat or dog or ZALPACA that's gotten stranded in a particularly nasty storm! You're a regular hero, trudging up that cliffside or swiming across that creek! Unfortunately, the sky didn't get the memo about your heroics, and it's just opened up even more. Finishing this job just got a heck of a lot worse. Good thing someone else just showed up to help both you and your animal pal. You hope. It's possible they're just there to laugh at you.
- PANTS ON FIRE - You know what's great? When the storm breaks, the skies start to clear and everything looks sunny again. You know what's not? When the weather pushes the LYING MIST down from the mountainside while you're out trying to clean up. Hope you don't have any whoppers you're trying to keep secret!
- SINK OR SWIM - The days when it's not storming are just beautiful, and the village river is running high. There are spots out of the current that are perfect for a cool dip or lounging on the shore, but take care you don't go out too far and get swept away. Oh, and watch out for the RAINBOW CRABS, those claws are sharp.
- WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

Please list your CHARACTER NAME, CANON & PROMPT in your SUBJECT LINE.

Logan 'Sweet as Maple Syrup' Howlett | X-Men
Someone in the multiverse was sure having a laugh and it definitely wasn't Logan. In fact, it had been a week or more since he'd gotten back to the sleepy town and the Canadian was a hundred percent sure this was a joke.
And not the funny 'ha ha ha got you' kind.
But he'd been there before or to the simulation before it, so getting used to the slight changes didn't take long and before Logan knew it, he was back to doing what he did. Chop wood in excess.
It was around mid afternoon when he finally took a break, sat down on the stoop and looked up to see a massive set of antlers and with a sharp rise of an eyebrow, Logan gave an impressed nod.
"Heard you were here. And that you were a pain in the ass to get out of the fountain."
Bub sounds a call and within moments his mate and offspring join him.
"Huh. Well, at least you're keeping busy. Good for you. Stay over there, alright?" he added dryly.
Only when he washed up and made his way over to the inn, there was Bub closely following behind..
[ Feel free to use this scene or go with something different. I'm game for anything! ]

Likely still as sour as before.
"You look well for someone who has crawled out of the fountain. I see you found your friend again." She smiled, letting her basket rest against her hip. "Do you remember everything from before?"
no subject
"This'll be my third time coming out of that fountain and you're being too nice. As always." he stared at her with a flat expression.
But after a few short seconds, the corners of his lips curled into a grin.
"Hello, Margaery."
no subject
There was something about earning a smile from him, it was always a triumph. Seeing his lips twist into a grin made her eyes sparkle. "Hello again. It seems you found your way back to your home rather quickly. You don't allow me the pleasure of seeing you wet again."
no subject
He gave a shrug. "Yeah, I did. But if you want, I can tell you when I go check out that lake that wasn't around the last time I was here."
It's like he never left!
actually crying bub's father came home
Oh. Okay.
Logan doesn't look the same as she's used to seeing him (way younger, way taller) and it's sort of like the version of Magneto here - squint and it's him but it's not quite right otherwise.
"Would you believe me if I told you that I have three inches on you back home? Three whole inches, Professor Howlett."
no subject
"Well, you're not there, are you?"
Sure it may have sounded rude, but the tone to which he took was more matter of fact.
"And who are you exactly?" he questions, though as he asks it, his eyes are drawn to her hair.

So, when it was that she happened upon Bub, Kate stopped dead in her tracks and let out a scream that could curdle milk. It was definitely not deer-sized.
no subject
When Logan heard the scream, his head snapped towards the female doing it and immediately he held up a hand and cringed. Damn it was loud.
"HEY!" he spoke loudly, trying to get her to stop, looking over to Bub again to make sure he wasn't getting upset, too.
He wasn't, in fact, he tipped his head up slightly and let out a long, loud call back.
no subject
Kate had stopped screaming, her throat was only capable of so much. Should she run or would it chase her? Without her healing abilities, she didn't think herself capable of surviving a trampling. Instead, she just stood there, froze to the spot, and made herself a very easy target.
"What?" Kate managed to squeak back.
