Prompts
Summer is here, villagers! Sunny skies, warm weather and plenty of weirdness are on the horizon. Don't forget your sunscreen!
- THE MILK FOR FREE - Somehow, someway, you have been wrangled into milking one of the GROFFLES recently rounded up by your fellow villagers. Maybe you felt guilty for not helping, or maybe you owe someone scary money. Point is, it's just you, a bucket, and your green milk-giving friend. Just a tip: Groffles are good-natured, but you probably shouldn't squeeze too hard.
- LIGHTNING ROD - Earlier today, you made your way into the upper foothills — Were you hunting? Maybe just roaming? — and you came into contact with a BLUE LILY. Maybe you thought it was so pretty you've carried it back to the village with you. If your house didn't have electricity before, it definitely does now!
- MEET CUTE - It's a classic: You've gone down into the 6I INN'S dirt-walled root cellar off the kitchen. Maybe you needed supplies or were dropping off some fresh produce. Whatever the case, someone's followed you down for a similar reason... and the door has jammed shut behind them. Seriously, it's not budging. Enjoy getting to know your new best friend in the cozy light of the furnace!
- WILDCARD - Choose your own adventure. Maybe play powers roulette.

But time could not be wasted on waiting, so while the Ranger was out on his excursion, a few plans were made. Aragorn knew he didn't have the same heightened instincts as he did in Middle-earth, yet he feels they will be there awhile. Or, at least he will, despite knowing no one has any control over that particular ability.
It's through asking a few people if they've seen the long brown haired elf that he goes down to the cellar to announce his return and tell Elrond of his plans. And when he stops at the door and is greeted, Aragorn bows his head respectfully.
"I have and I return without any great discovery or answers as to why we were brought here. It remains a mystery."
Aragorn steps forward and the door swings shut behind him. He gives a quick look over his shoulder but pays it no mind beyond that. Not yet, anyway.
"But I assure you, I will not stop until I find a way for us to return to our realm, where we are needed."

Naturally, he understood that his first words would not be welcomed but given what he's observed so far, he had begun to fear that they were far too far from Arda to return to it. Indeed, it was questionable if they were even within Eä itself. Yet, perhaps if they could learn the how and why of their arrival, they might be capable of returning to their world. Thus while he was uncertain, he still held onto that the same hope as Aragorn, that they might find their way back.
"What did you find while you were away? Anything of interest?"

Aragorn kept his expression neutral, eyes remaining on Elrond. That faith in him would drive him harder to find that escape. He felt he wasn't the only one there in the settlement searching for it and there was no doubt in his mind that they were the only two who wanted to return to their homes. It wasn't everyone, but a good number of them.
"Animals unlike our own; a bird with colours on it I have never seen before. And an ugly beast that was friendly enough to follow me back. From a hilltop, I noticed a body of water much like Belegaer perhaps a day and a half journey from here."
He would tell his findings first before sharing his ideas.

A subtle amused look entered his gray eyes at the mention of the beast, though he did silently note the mention of a possible oceanic body of water. "An ugly beast? What was so ugly about it?"
He'd found that there were times where it was prudent to not judge something by its appearance. What was fair in seeming, wasn't always fair in nature and not everything foul in appearance was as ugly in nature as it seemed.
