Staying power.

Here's the thing. Anne showing up was - not just a surprise but a bit of a jolt. More then a jolt. Ever since then he hasn't been able to sleep because Venom keeps him up asking, whispering, insisting and when the two of them are out at night he's worried - beyond worried that she'll see. That she'll judge even if -

She knows.

"Yeah I know buddy." One of the few who did. Somehow. Strangely. Magically. Hands in his pockets he trudged up to the Inn for dinner, "I know, but that doesn't mean that she's gonna like - be involved. It's We, not - We the people."

But you wish it were?

"Here's the thing. You don't stop loving people, You don't. Ever. Not one single second but if you really care about someone? You let them go. You let them live their life. "If you love something set it free. If they come back they're yours. If they don't then they never were."

...I don't understand.

Through the door and into the common room, "...Human beings don't have hives. We-"

You are lonely

"JesusChristalmighty-"

I am never lonely.

"Spoken like a true alien visitor."

And you are not lonely because you and I are together now. ...I will not let you be lonely.

He is about to ask if that means that he won't leave, that the autonomy of a human being's spirit is no longer possible - before he hears the door rip off it's hinges.

It's instinct really, he leaps up the stairs and makes a run for the sound before stopping, hands out as Venom - desperate to see - oozes across his vision. Then-

"Anne what the fuck happened to you??"
