"We don't belong here, considering we're from other worlds, but it doesn't look like we stole it from anyone else." Desmond still had no idea what to make of everything. "It's weird because everything is waiting for us, and sometimes looks lived in, but it's empty too. It's like they're playing this game we had in our world, where you create people and put them in a house and provide things for them and just watch them live, controlling what they do." He didn't know a lot of video games, but he had occasionally run into a few. It seemed apt in this case, since they're all just shuffling around like those people.
