Hawke was much more forward in how she looked at him, although it was appraising more than anything else. In any given situation, Hawke thought about whether or not she had to kill her way out of it, and if that included a person being in the way, so be it. After a long steady gaze, her smile flashed to life, full of mischief and menace. "A pleasure to meet you, Drowned Rat. You are allowed to seek refuge within my stolen house, as long as you don't plan on stealing the best items. They have my name written all over them."

She said steal, but this place was abandoned, so anything left behind was hardly worth taking. It was the principle of the thing. The rogue's way. "Which is Hawke, by the by. With an E at the end." Hawke spelled out the E with the tip of her arrow in the air, wiping the last of the blood off it afterward. He was handsome, she noticed that right away, sighing out loud. "Another beautiful person to add to the buffet in the village. There's only one person here I wouldn't call traditionally attractive, and I'm certain he's handsome for whatever giant tree race he's from." This was an observation she made many times since coming there, and it was far from a complaint. If she had to look at a bunch of strangers, they'd better be painting worthy.

Hawke saw no reason to get up from her comfortable perch, glancing down at the carcass and giving a casual shrug at him. "Sorry about that, I was certain if I left it out there it'd end up buried. Have you seen these little monsters before?" She leaned down, part of her shirt going with it yet still within reasonable modesty, to poke her arrow at its little deer mouth. "It looks so innocent here, but it has vicious teeth on the inside, and it would eat a drowned rat with its little monster friends in a moment."
