"Well, yeah, generally a plague's something you want to avoid. Any plague," he agreed. He had had to tone down his sarcasm a little at the SSR, but Peggy was someone it was a little safer to be sarcastic with, he thought. He didn't know her that well, but she'd reacted well to a few of his more pointed comments about their coworkers. She'd smiled, at least.
