He was not gonna laugh at the sight of Peggy buried in a blanket, buried so much so that he didn't even realize it was her until she poked her head out and talked to him. For one thing, he liked his blood on the inside. For another, she looked kind of pitiful and he was sympathetic to that. There'd been a real bad something going around lately.

"I'm not sure," he admitted. "I was walking around, just getting the lay of things, and then the storm blew in. Should have known that grey steel look to the clouds. I saw it often enough in the ETO."
