He takes her hand, but there's still caution. Like with all unfamiliar faces, the thought that it could be his mother is always a possibility. Or she's carrying some kind of contact-based telepathic virus that's about to infiltrate the entire team through him. Or she's a robot programmed by Arcade. Or whatever other absolutely gloriously ridiculous potential threat to his life, limb and/or soul awaits him.

"Kurt Wagner," he says, with the charmed enthusiasm of not only someone happy not to be feared, but with perhaps a touch of someone happy not to be recognized. One of the easier faces to put to the phrase "mutant threat," in cable news footage, he's grown used to fear turning in to anger.
