Being a man who generally ops for a blade attached to the end of his staff for those times in which enemies come too close for comfort or for the preparation of a spell, Dorian knows from experience dust does little to clear blood from a blade. If anything, it would only dirty the weapon more, but he wasn't about to lecture his savior on the proper care of weaponry. He'd leave that up to some warrior type.
