*chinhands* This game is my new addiction

Using the forward momentum, Jacob catches himself on his other hand, pushing up and back to get to his feet and spin to face his adversary.

"That explains you grabbing a man out of nowhere and expecting him to help you," Jacob mutters, tugging at his jacket to get it settled right, dusting off his pants and trying to settle himself as if that matters more than the other man.

At length he looks up at him, curious. "You don't remember anything about arriving underground? Or drowning?" He himself had come that way and still hates it. "What do you last remember? Have you been wandering?"

He's heard stories of the creatures here and the things they can do, after all. Mostly the answer's been to avoid them as best he can. Perhaps not everyone has.
