Vasquez doesn't argue that name, because maybe if he stops, then Faraday will shut up. He doesn't want Faraday to take that as permission to keep name-calling, though, and if he starts being serious about it, then he knows he'll have to give up his real name. As for right now, he'll leave it be.

Are they even moving still? He feels like they've ground to a halt, with Faraday staring at him, Vasquez heatedly staring back. He wants to say it again and again, which is why he's relieved when Faraday says he doesn't care if he says it.
