Spoiler alert: it is not any comfort. It would be more comfort if it were not friendly, because at least Natasha knows what to do with things that are trying to kill her. At the very least, she wouldn't be feeling weirdly guilty about avoiding this thing that keeps projecting feelings of herd and loneliness and confusion and love at her. In hindsight, it was a terrible idea to start with a social animal.
But Phryne does seem like she's just trying to help, and Natasha's not ready to burn any bridges just yet. She's been in weirder situations, in more dangerous ones, and she's been able to get out just fine. So Natasha shakes her head, and she's not quite smiling but there is something faintly humorous in her voice. "I'm not worried about it being unfriendly. Pretty sure my problem right now is the exact opposite of that, have you seen what buffalo saliva does to hair?" It's not pretty, and this place doesn't exactly have an abundance of hair care products.
