I've noticed there are a lot of people from the same realities, as well. Given what I know about alternate realities, it seems unlikely that there isn't some intelligence involved in our being here.
We'd have a lot more snakes if it were random. Statistically speaking, at least a good quarter of us would be some variety of snake if it were random.
