Wade simply stands there, nodding in a rather dumbfounded fashion to whatever it was he'd said about drinking. A drink would be great. Like, a gallon of milk worth. Or just something...anything cold. She begins to contemplate taking a flying leap into the fountain when her brain lazily latches onto the next thing.
"Wait, what? Salt? I thought it was paprika! What did I eat? Am I going to die?" She isn't sure a brain can actually melt, but it feels a little like it's starting to, as she stares down at the ugly-looking vegetable, still holding her mangled piece of bread. The sweat is starting to build up, trickling down the sides of her neck.
"What is that?" she asks, her voice continuing the frightened upward climb in register it had start a moment ago so that's it's just shy of a shriek.
