"Oh— No," Karen replies with a shake of her head, her smile a little sheepish as she twists off the tap and turns back around. Part of the point of the gesture is not having a formal job here in any real capacity, unless poking around counts. She'd feel guilty if she didn't contribute at all.
"I set snares," she explains, reaching for a towel to dry her hands. "Sometimes I end up with more than I need. I did hunt some back home, when I was a kid. That was all rifle hunting, though, and that's not exactly a helpful skill here. Do you hunt?"
