She's quiet a minute, considering what to say, how much to share. "Where I'm from, there are others like you," she says. "I mean, who can do the things you do. Did. The manipulation of metal." She sighs, not trying to show too much of her hand.

"Sure. I can do that. Only because you didn't skewer me," she teases, grinning. "And because, I don't know, I don't get the feeling you want to kill me. I can usually tell." And not just because a lot of things have tried to kill her, her father included.

"Oh I plan to take you up on that. I am probably going to snag a house for myself, and when I do I could use a hand getting it serviceable."
