"I did too." She stepped closer, letting Dante know that she was there with him. She wasn't going to leave him alone. "Vergil made his choice but things are different here. He could make another choice... He's even made a friend here."

Kat knew that it was a long shot but she also knew that family shouldn't give up on each other and that's what Vergil was; family.

"It's okay if that's what you see." She'd never ask Dante to change the way he felt. "But I think we should at least give him a chance. Maybe, in time, he can change your mind."

It would be slow but Kat had hope.

"But I, Dante, I want you near." Her eyes locked with his. "For me."
