He knew he was getting under Vergil's skin, he could taste his brother's need to hear the words and he kept to a unruffled calm that belayed the rising tension in his chest. The rejection hurt just as sharply as when Vergil rejected him the last time. His fists itched and he made it a point to keep them in his pockets.
